Jane Ibrahim, Designer
Having studied abroad away from her home in Hong Kong since an early age, designer Jane Ibrahim always hoped to find a permanent place to call home. Maisonette 1977, meaning "little house" and the year Jane was born, became that place, a house for not only her inspirations and designs but for the talents of her loved ones.
Jane's other home is now New York City, where she launched Maisonette 1977's first season after spending 10 years working for prominent labels like Michael Kors, Yigal Azrouel, Theory, and Cynthia Steffe. Influenced by the 90s grunge scene that has fascinated her since childhood, Janešs creations display both an edgy ruggedness and a unique sense of femininity.
The woman who wears Maisonette 1977 is innovative and expressive with a style that is ultra glamorous but also unexpected and fun. Jane's design skills coupled with her impeccable taste always result in a collection that is modern, exciting, edgy, and elegant. A newcomer to the style scene, Maisonette 1977 has already earned the praise of tastemakers and fashion editors around the world.
